  • Gained 2 lbs on rung 3....nuts?

So Ive gained 2 lbs...and although I know that it is normal to have fluctuations in weight, these 2 lbs make up 20% of my weightloss goal. I have added an oz of nuts (almonds) 3 times a week during this rung, and am wondering if I should move on to the next rung. How do I determine if this could be what caused the weight gain, or if it may just be normal fluctuations. Thanks for your suggestions

Do you use fitday? I would stay right there and see what happens, maybe its the salt on the almonds?

Have you eliminated the nuts to see if that changed anything?

How many net carbs are you getting from Induction vegetables?

Yes, I am using fitday...my percentages are where they should be and I average about 1500 to 1600 calories per day. I am getting about 15-20 carbs from veggies. I am not in TOM so I know its not that, my plan was to continue the amt of carbs I am currently taking in but elimate nuts for a week to see if I come back down. I also workout 3-4 times a week cardio and weights. Keep same amount of carbs cut out nuts?

Yes, that seems sensible to keep the same level of carbs, but eliminate nuts for a week. If/when you add nuts back in, try unsalted instead of salted nuts, so there's no issue with sodium intake.

Try not to stress out over 2 pounds, even if it is 20% of your goal. The last ten pounds (in your case, the only 10 pounds) are typically the toughest to lose and take the longest to be rid of. If you are diligent and attentive to your food choices, hydration and exercise, you will be healthy, feel great and *look* great - no matter what number shows on the scale.
