First I think it was wonderful of you to apologize, however, one would think based on your background you would have more of an empathetic posture here. The fact that you have so many posts etc. should mean you would hold yourself to a higher standard.
I'm new here and really have no knowledge of your background. I do think though using your very solid links to this board as an excuse to be mean is just terrible.
We all do our own form of Atkins, why? Because there is no written diet that states you have to eat this on Monday, this on Tuesday etc.
I have no problems with eating this way NOW, but I have in the past, just based on the fact that an admin sent me a PM apologizing for this vine says it all for me.
To defend actions that very well may hurt others is also a little odd to me...April Fool's is one of the worst 'holiday's' out there...a day we devote to treating others poorly...really?
If this vine hurt me in any manner, I assure you my post would have been harsh, but someone has to speak up and point out this is wrong...losing weight is such an emotional undertaking, I would think a board as well established as this one would want to preserve a spirit of support.
