    Re: Menopause

it's ok... it's just that after my thyroid cancer.. I said I was going to take care of the TOM stuff.... it's so bad my hemoglobin goes down to 6 and 7.... really anemic... fibroids... all kinds of mess... I'm tired of being TOM for 17-20 days... no joke...

and for whatever reason... being older.... having my thyroid removed... the hormone stuff... it's harder for me to lose now too... and I get so frustrated when I have a big gain for what seems to be out of the blue...

they told me I'd fall apart when I hit 50.. lol

      Re: Menopause

I hit mine early. Had those bouts of being cranky that I couldn't stand myself and couldn't understand why I would be like that. Then had my monthly for 3 weeks, by the time they did something about it=it was 5 weeks! UGH! Talk about a reason to be cranky then! After they did the procedure, everything stopped including my mood swings. Thankful for those small things! LOL

But I started to feel much better, after taking the meds, but now I am back to feeling tired again. Seems you can't win no matter what you do....Congrats to you on your weight loss.. that's awesome.
What sucks about thyroid is that you gain all this weight, and then they put you on meds, but it doesn't make you lose it. It's just that with the meds you should be able to lose it, now. You still have to work it off, which I find grossly unfair!

Thanks.. I'm thinking it's going to be fine... I think he just needs to rule out stuff... he DID tell me 'you might want to bring your sister or somebody with you Monday'..

that didn't make me feel so good...

                but.. I've beat melanoma (200

thyroid cancer (2009)... and I'm just trusting that this is something else.....

                (I know there's fibroids involved)

I just want this to stop

that is SO TRUE!~!!! I was hoping that when I was finally on synthroid (after 9 weeks without a thyroid.. ).. that I'd lose more easily... no such luck....

I don't see an endo until June 4 ... the surgeon put me on the dose I have now.. no idea if it's right or not... after over 2 months WITHOUT a thyroid... any amount of medicine made a huge difference....
