  • new to atkins and I have some questions on what to eat

Ok, so everything has to be sugar free right, and yes I've read the book jus so much information. The book said that we should use oil and vinegar, but not balsamic vinegar for salad dressing. Does anyone use anything else for salad dressing?? Looking for ideas?

    Thanks,
    Jennifer

Jennifer, you may want to check out Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes. She has a lot of salad dressing recipes there, just make sure to stick to the ones with the asterisk next to them--those are the induction friendly ones.

I've always used Hidden Valley Ranch. The sugar isn't much.

I'm not a fan of oil and vinegar, though my husband is.

      What about blue cheese dressing?

That's an ideal version! My own rule of thumb is that sugar can't be one of the first 4 ingredients, the net carb count has to be 2 or less per serving, and there can't be any corn syrup or HFCS or other trans fats in it.
