  • these foods ok?

Costco has salmon burgers. Are these ok?
Ingredients pink and or keta salmon, water, canola oil, contains 2% or less of lemon juice, onion powder, white peppeer, spice, sea salt, color added, mesquite smoke flavor, vegetable extracted, natural flavor.
    Says 2carbs 0 sugar

Also sausage parties. Ingredients pork, water, salt, spices, sugar, natural flavor. Says 0grams sugar and carbs so wondering if its minimal to still eat on induction

I don't know what's meant by "color added" listed among the ingredients... but other than that, the ingredients look fine.

The zero on the label means that there are less than 0.5 grams of carbohydrate per serving.

Some people would be fine eating this, some people would not. You need to decide for yourself and see how it works for you.

Lol actually they taste really good.

Ok I have two more foods:
Vietnamese pho soup with jusy meat no noodles
Crab artichoke dip made with real crab meat, frozen artichoke hearts, mayo, cream cheese and grated parmesan.

Is fresh grated and spinkle in a bottle parmesan okay?

Oh wow, I'm Vietnamese and love pho.

From experience, the broth is made of spices, beef bones, whole onion and ginger, fish sauce, and rock sugar. Some people add premade pho seasoning, which has lots of carbs. Some people will add MSG, which is also carbs. My mother makes pho that comes out to 5-7g carbs/ 2 cups of broth. I always count bowl of broth as 10 carbs, just to be safe.

Oh, though you probably know this, make sure to avoid hoisin sauce and onions since they both have lots of carbs.

So if you're on induction NO PHO IS NOT OKAY. But maybe a yes if you're on pre-maintenance (if I read your phase correctly), and the broth doesn't cause cravings, which for me it doesn't.

And if you're really advantageous, you can make your own broth from just spices and beef bones which will have scant carbs. You'd just need several hours to cook it and a big pot.

Grated parmesan, sealed and from a canister has starchy additives that prevent clumping, but the amount is so minimal you will have to see if it affects you or not.

If you are buying parmesan fresh and grated from your deli, then that should be fine.

Check the ingredients listed on the Parmesan can, love777. Mine has no starches added.
