  • Ever notice natural sweetness in beef?

    Today at the store I wanted chocolate so badly that I thought I was going to go nuts! (thanks TOM--I never crave sweets, but my estrogen does once a month)

    So I bought some pastrami instead!

    Yes, it's a bit processed, but in a small serving, it's sweet, yumm-o, and better than giving into a temptation for sweet candy! And it filled me right up.

    Meat is really sweet, especially beef!

    I'd never have noticed how my sweet tooth can be satisfied by beef before this way of eating!

    Mmmmm! Meat candy goodness...

    you are so right!!!
    I have noticed that lots of foods that normally needed sugar/sweetner before I would eat, now this isn't problem.

    Example: I make cole slaw like this. a bag of prechopped cabbage, a couple large spoons ful of mayo and celery salt and black pepper. This tastes sweet to me, but others have told me it isn't sweet enough for them. To bad, I am making it my way!!!

      not beef.. but I threw out a cucumber because I thought something was wrong with it... I bought more... and the same thing happened.. they dont' even TASTE the same... at all...

      now they're sweet.... it was strange..

      so I put lots of pepper..
      2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!
      2-20-10 190.4 - new scale
      3-20-10 177.8 - 1 month
      5-10-10 169.8 - 25 pounds gone!

          Yeah and the amazing thing is, because we eat so little sweet stuff now, we are hypersensitive to it in everything!!

          I remember the days I'd heap sugar on pre-sweetened cereal cuz it wasn't sweet enough!! :vomit
