Diet coke with Splenda?

I tried one a couple days ago. It tasted like diet rite that's gone a bit flat and has acquired a nasty aftertaste. Not horrible, but not very good. Pepsi One, which is also made with Splenda, is much better.

Pepsi just released Splenda sweetened PepsiONe but it too has caffeine in it :sadblinky
There isn't any Splends DC in my area yet.

I thought i would venture out and try it. Took a couple of drinks, and tossed it, and went and got my water. It has a flat after taste, and too sweet.

I haven't tried it but I hate coke (brand) anyway tastes like they add pepper (the spice) to it ... yuck, esp if it's not ice cold. I prob won't taste it. I admit to 1 diet soda a day but am happy with my diet Shasta caff free rootbeer w/splenda at 50% of the cost at 99cents a 6 pack.

I tried the new diet coke with Splenda and found it to taste sickeningly sweet. I will not waste my money on another one.

I could not participate in the poll, because I stopped drinking soda altogether. I've seen the DC w/ splenda though--I think it's cool they are starting to give us more choices.

I've never liked Coke in any form. ick! I was always a Diet Pepsi drinker, but now, I'm fine w/ Diet Rite, I only drink it on rare occassion anyway, and I mix it with bourbon...that'll fix the taste of anything! LOL :yes

It tasted nothing like regular diet coke...Had an awful super sweet taste and a bad aftertaste too...Blech! Just watch, it won't be on the market for long! Diet Rite is WAY better! But I hardly ever drink soda anymore.

I am so used to my perrier nothing else tastes good. I won't be going back to sodas!

soda was one of the things I gave up permanently. I believe it is poison. My big treat is a big glass of herbal iced tea. But I stick to water.

I took a sip of Pepsi One today. Yuck, it was watery, sugary and had a funny aftertaste. DC is still not available in my area, but if it's anything like Pepsi One, I'll just save my money up for a nice fillet mignon.....

Yep lemmon perrier and me just go hand in hand, I detest everything else.

I don't like diet coke, but I thought the one with splenda was pretty good.
