  • Do your burn candles?

Poll time again ladies and gents!

Do you burn candles in the bedroom?

    Only in Church.

Most candle made for domestic use are rubbish. Church candles are made to a much higher standard - the burn brighter, cleaner and longer.

Get them form a Church Suppliers or Church bookshop if you can.

    Just one option:

      Re: Do your burn candles?

Over the past 2 weeks I have had 6 tea light candles burning and a essential oil burner alight, when going to bed.

      Lovely and romantic.

      Does anyone else do that?

            Re: Do your burn candles?

I dont think I posted it here, but i was intending to post it.

2 weeks ago, to show my gf quite how much I felt about her, I organised for my gf's 2 children to go to a babysitter for the night.

When she was out, taking the kids to her ex husbands parents - I ran a lovely hot bath for her, with strawberry soap, some pink bubble bath and a selection of tea lights around the bath. I then put the essential oil burner (with strawberry oil) in and set light to that, and put some real strawberries on a plate at the side of the bath. And dropped some rose petals into the bath water.

WHen she got home, I led her upstairs, undressed her, and put my hands over her eyes and led her in to the bathroom and voila, there was the bath. She was stunned silent. She got into the bath, I dissapeared downstairs and made her favourite drink, Rum and diet coke. Took it upstairs and gave it to her in the bath.

I left her to enjoy her bath, and i went out and from the boot in my car I got the 2 dozen red roses that I had bought earlier that day. I put them on her pillow along with a card with a message and a tub of strawberry body butter.

I had a table booked at a restaurant also, took her there and then off to a late night film at a cinema. (fun with Dick and Jane - a Jim Carey film).

Thats possibly the most romantic thing I have ever done, but she loved it.

            Thanks for reading.

I knew you were a keeper Rich. Your GF is a very lucky lady. Having you think of things like a sitter show what a great guy you are.
We use tea lights so they burn out if we get to busy or forget to blow them out before sleep.

                          Re: Do your burn candles?

I do have alot of candles around, but I don't burn them. (One year, when I was a teenager, around Christmas time, there were two lit candles on the dining room table. Dinner was over, so I decided to blow them out. I had my hair parted in the middle and each side was in an elastic band. When I bent over to blow one out, my hair touched the flame. Thank goodness my brother was sitting nearby in the living room. He immediately ran over and prevented me from having too much damage - just a few burned ends).

Now as for our Rich. That was the most romantic, sweetist thing that you did for your girlfriend!! She is truly very lucky!!
