  • Any Suggestions?

    Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you have reviews on:

    1. Pro active Skin care...Ever use it? Would you recommend it?

    2. Flat Irons...In dyer need on a new one but they're so many to choose from. I purchsed one for $150.00 in January and the ceremic peeled off. Looking for one that will stand the test of time.

    Any suggestions?

I've never used either. But I have heard lots of good things about that Proactive stuff, never heard anything bad about it at all.

I've heard that the best flat irons have a tourmaline coating. They're a little more expensive, but worth it if you don't want to fry your hair.

I have the Chi, flatiron and love it. Runs for about $125.00. Can't help you with the other, sorry.

          Thanks eeveryone for your input!
I want to but the Chi but the reviews say that they wiring is awful and they they short out quickly. I also here that they're not very durable but I used it once and it was great! How long have you had yours?

ProActiv Solution can be fantastic depending upon the type of acne you're fighting. If you have cystic acne, don't waste your money. It'll only dry your skin out something fierce and won't help the problem. If you have run of the mill surface acne, give it a go!

I have a MaxiGlide straightening iron and it's by far and away the best flat iron I've ever owned. The total package cost me about $135, if I remember right, and it was worth every single penny. The iron is coated and the one side has small little teeth on it that'll comb through as it straightens, which is nice. That side is reversible too if you don't want the teeth. It also has a steam feature to get out the nasty stubborn kinks. It heats up super fast and straightening my hair went from being a 25-30 minute ordeal to a 10 minute ordeal. It came with a couple of unique velcro rollers, a smaller version of the flat iron and a CD demonstration video. I recommend it highly!

I have had mine for 2 years and my niece has had hers for at least 3, no problems so far (knock on wood).
