    Re: Death of a pet

I'm so sorry. I know how hard that is. My rattie just went downhill last night. I'm sure she'll be gone tomorrow and I have been awful about it all day. It's crazy how these little things weasel their way into our hearts.

Sorry for your loss Kent, pets are hard to lose no matter what type they are..

I had a dog with health problems similar to yours steph, Sadie pretty much suffered from everything...I even spent $3000 having her leg tendons reconstructed when she was a puppy...After that she pretty much lived a normal happy life, though she had bad arthritis and a few more minor health problems..she eventually died of cancer at 8 . It took me 6 yrs before I got another dog..I was heartbroken.

I am sorry for your lose, It is always hard to say goodbye to someone or something that you love, and it doesnt matter what kind of animal it is, we make these pets our family and it hurts horribly saying goodbye.
I am truly sorry you are hurting!!

I'm so sorry, Kent. I understand perfectly how you're feeling since I had to put my 8-yr old rabbit down this past January. She was no longer able to get around and it was so sad. It took quite awhile to stop looking for her when I came in the downstairs door. But time has healed the wound as it will yours. Have happy memories. Here are a couple of pics put together that were taken of my bunny when she was a baby. Her name was Lizzie.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Life does indeed go on, and if it takes nuzzling with another bunny that really doesn't appreciate it, well that's his payment for the food. You guys are the best for understanding.
