Apartment. Although for an apartment it's pretty good size...two floors.

13_Jane...nice place! Especially for the UK, typically don't get too much house there do ya?

What would the difference be between a bungalow and a cottage?

I live in an apartment. Technically it's in a house but the house isn't mine, I rent the lower level.

A bungalow in the UK is a house (not an appartment) that has just one floor. A cottage has two, just like a house but a little more old fashioned

What is a cottage. I think I want to live in a Cottage. Cottage sounds so cool. I would also like to live in a cabin cause that sounds wild. I live in a boring old house.

I live in a one story ranch style house. It's one of those with the long front porches. Hate sweeping the front porch.

I'm in a house owned by Mom and rent from her. I moved in with her after my divorce, and she soon moved out, to just across the street.

Both houses were originally 1 storey; then had the roof raised to add a 2nd floor.

I want to live in a two story flat! Would they still call it a flat, if it wasn't so flat anymore? A cottage sounds cool too! Cottage to me means a nice little house with a picket fence surrounded by hills and trees! Bungalow is something on an island like Hawaii, maybe with just grass flaps for windows!

Isn't it funny, how different meanings are depending on where you are?
