I haven't seen it, but heard that apparently they practically do a full body makeover.
There is one woman who sued the TV company saying they ruined her life and her self esteem by building her up for rejection - when she was told how horrid she was, and then they wouldn't use her for the show. I can't remember if she committed suicide in the end, or not, but it was quite a to-do.
There may be a few minor changes I'd like if I were given the opportunity, but I wouldn't agree to such drastic measures.
I wouldn't want to go to the extremes some of those women went to, but I want a breast augmentation/lift and I would love to have a lift done of my lower body/legs. It would totally depend on scarring though. I would NOT have it done if it meant horrendous scars yanno? I'd rather have saggy skin than look like frankenstein's monster.

I would NOT want to go on the Swan...I think the message of that show is wrong. I think we should be telling people to find what's beautiful about them and flaunt it, rather than saying "you're too far gone, too hideous, we have to start from scratch!" I can see why it would be a blow to the self-esteem...people telling you that you're hideous and ugly and worthless, and then not using you for the show. That's like saying you're TOO UGLY to even be made over!
Extreme Makeover is a better show in my opinion...usually it's people who have been in accidents, have had physical deformities, something that keeps them from functioning in an everyday world (rather than the Swan, where women have big noses and a pot belly or something). Those transformations are pretty amazing and seem to have a "good" impact on people's lives.
I don't know if I'd ever get any plastic surgery. I'll have to see what my skin decides to do (or NOT do!) after I lose this weight...right now, I don't think it's an option. BUT, never say NEVER!
