Is it OK for a fat/fatter person to make fat jokes?

Hah you ever have a big person ... either make fun of you or include you in on their fat jokes ... is it assumed that if you are also fat or fatter than someone else that you have the right to include them in your fat joke ... or fat conversation?

Like "us fat people need to stick together".

Its slightly annoying

I love it when a skinny person says "oh Im so fat"...its like they just want to point out that they are thin and you are the fat one.

Now I say "ya you are maybe you should do something about it..lol"

When we joke about things it usually means that we are uncomfortable or embarrassed in the situation. That inner voice gets pretty loud and we try to cope with a joke. We try to deflect the feelings.

That has always always always annoyed me. I knew girls who wore (no joke) size 0 or less and they would constantly talk like that around me. One time my household (sorority sort of, religion invovled) went on a retreat and all the "skinny" girls decided they wanted to pose for a "pregnant picture". What they would do is loosen their stomach muscles and bend backwards a little bit so what stomach they (if any) would stick out a little bit to look like a baby bump....I know some weird people....

Anyway it was annoying cause they did it right in front of me and my best friend (who was also a little heavy). Ugh. I 'll show you fake pregnant...hah! I didn't even look like that when I WAS pregnant!
