I do a lot with photos at work. I have a high end film scanner there. The photographers I work with shoot medium format or 100-50 speed 36mm slide film. Photos that are shot digitally are 8 mega-pixels. I think that is the reason I have no scanner at home.
So, being part of this board, among other reasons, I want to buy flatbead scanner for home. I could take, and have taken personal photos to work for scanning, but I don't like to. It means staying late and using company equipment for my stuff.
Now the question, what should I buy for scanning prints for 72-90 dpi display? There are a lot of cheap scanners out there, but which ones don't crap out and give good results?
