Re: How much weight have you lost on Atkins?

No wheres near as easy as losing it. Being young and single. The new found lifestyle and attention make you want to go out and live life again. So it's was tough at first. Mostly because i used to drink alot of beer 4-5 nites a week out hanging out with friends and stuff. But now that ive cut back to just drinking once a week, and only drinking Vodka & Club Soda with Lemon and lime. It makes it a quite a bit easier. But the incentive you have losing that much weight that fast is amazing. Steping on the scale and literally losing 2-3 lbs some days really keeps a person motivated. But with the good comes the bad. There was alot of days once it started slowing down that I'd just about go into a major depression when i didnt see it moving. And now that it's much slower because ive gone on and off a few times, it's tougher to stick with. Ive found that if im not completely doing it strict to the point of almost all meat fish fowl and eggs. That it's hard for me to stay motivated. My cravings are amazingly high unless im very hardcore low carb. But i have been lucky enough to be able to burn fat pretty fast. My father and I are both big guys, He's about 6'3, and im around 6'1-6'2 and we are both large framed people. So i think the extra muscle and body mass may account for me burning more calories in a work out than someone of a smaller stature. I know that my BMI calculator says i should be between 147, and 190lbs... ive been down to 195lbs before. And I didnt feel as good as i do around 205 207.... that range. So that BMI is good for some instances, but i wouldnt use it for everyone. But thank you for the compliment, sorry about the babbling. Ive had so many trials and tribulations. Depressions and Highs, great feelings, and feelings of despair along the way, i think I could go on for days. But I will give anyone this advice. The Low carb diet WORKS. Those who say "Oh my doctor told me not to" Or... "I could never do that" or "I tried that but didnt last two days" are only giving up on themselves. And we all know as well as them deep down inside. THat is nothing more than a mere excuse. Maybe it'll give you a reason to justify (in their own mind at least) not putting forth the effort to make a valid attempt at this WOE. But I know for a fact that If i can lose weight. ANYBODY can. The abuse that i put up with growing up and the depression that became of it. Sent me into a downward spiral. I was 335lbs at 20 yrs old. I Struggled with it my whole life. If i can get off my fat *** and beat it. anybody can. The thing that people dont realize, is that it only takes 2-3 days to see results. And those results will keep you motivated. Again, im rambling. Take it easy everyone!
