Ok, I can't help myself. What do you think about the recent uproar regarding Mel Gibson's drunken anti-semitisim comments?

I love him and even though he's a drunk and an anti-semite, I'm going to stand by my man.

I'm going to concur with idiot.

He's been on the fast track to crazy for a little while now. If he's ill I pity him, but still, what a 'tard.

First, let me say, I absolutely loved the movie, Braveheart. I didn't like Mel Gibson before that. That movie sucked me right in.

Now however, I'm more than a little disappointed in his obvious disregard for human life. If I understand his thinking correctly - he doesn't believe the holocaust happened? I know he was supposedly drunk. Maybe it's been blown out of proportion, maybe not.

I was just happy to see he apologized profusely on Monday.

people always say messed up things when they are drunk...the arresting officer was jewish so more then likely he was trying to make the cop mad after he wouldt let him go..there making such a big deal about him cursing the jews only because of the movie he made, the passion because he had to do the movie himself most of hollywood wouldnt back him they thought it would help sper anti jewis sentiment.....

none of this bother me,,it is what it is,,i just find it striking that people are more upset that he was usuing racial slurs then driving drunk...words hurt feelings,,,drunk drivers kill kids,,,america need to get their head out of their behinds and relize whats really important..

sorry just had this argument with someone else hahah guess i was still worked up

I didn't think you were attacking anyone. I agree with you. I was just mentioning that I was addressing both issues (in case you missed that part). No worries

I love Mel. Have for years. I voted he's an idiot. Its never ok to drive drunk. The rest of it - his drunk ramblings - thats just bu11**** and I think that the media is just zeroing in on it because of who he is.

Idiot. And, as California state laws are, they should have thrown the book at him; and I don't just mean the "good book" either.

All the same, he did appologize and ask for forgiveness towards the words he spoke, and should be forgiven. That's commendable and should be honored. But consequences should follow the law he broke. If he were Jo-Shmo, he's backend would be in a cell with Bubba quicker then he could scream "Lethal Weapon!".
