    Hi everyone! My name is Kim and am a mother of three beautiful children ages 7,3 and 10 Months. I've been married for 4 wonderful years to a man who truly loves me for who I am. I am looking for new friends and some support along the way as I start this diet, I was on it a couple of years ago but ended up cheating and went off but I am ready now to be serious because my health means everything to me and being alive to see my children grow up will give me the will power to succeed. I am currently a plus size model and do some modeling for the local stores around here one of which is Fashion bug (They Rock) but I would like to take it a little further and try to do some modeling for Ford or some different agencies who can take me further than where I am at. I have a pretty face but my body doesn't match and it really bothers me, other people say I look really good but I think they're just trying to be nice. Hopefully with the help and support of this site I will achieve my goal to become healthier and happier in the weeks to come.

    Hey Kim,

    You've come to the right place. Tell us a little more about yourself. What are your weight loss goals? What is your current weight? How tall are you? Have you read the book?

    There is a section of the board dedicated to the 14 day induction period. You should stop by there and say hello...

        Kim, Welcome! I've also got children right around the ages of your kids. I've done Atkins 2 x before (after having the first two kids) and done well. This is my last time! Good luck during your induction. Remember to make some snack baggies of cheese and induction veggies so that you can have snacks ready for yourself and just grab and go. With three kids it takes a lot of meal planning. I always fix the kids their meal first then I work on mine. It helps me if I make a meal that I can reheat for more dinners or lunches later. That is a real timesaver.

            Thankyou all for being so supportive! I really need that especially during induction... I have a couple of questions, I would like to put a picture of myself so people can see what I look like and the other is how do I put one of those weight tracker things on here? I tried to copy and paste it so that it would show up when I post but it's not showing up.

              Kim,

              For my pictures, I use photobucket and upload my pictures there and then just copy the image source from there. For the tickers, once you finish on tickerfactory there will be 3 source options. Just copy the BBCode for the ticker and post it. Everyone's tickers are usually in their signatures which can be accessed through the User CP at the top left of the page next to forums.

                I'm hoping I did this right but I copy and pasted the code from Photobucket and pasted it in the "Signature" section of the profile. I noticed you have a journal, how can I get that, is there one on here I can start writing in? Actually the link worked but you have to click on it to see my picture, it doesn't just show up like I wanted it to...

                        Ok, so I went to Fitday and tried putting in some of the foods I've eaten today and the percentage it was I am confused about. I put in one chicken breast and it put me at 51%, I don't know how it figured that because chicken doesn't have a lot of fat in it. I understand that I am supposed to eat until I am satisfied, not stuffed but if I am to stay within 65% of my fat intake I don't know how that's possible. I went to Wendy's for dinner and was starving because all I ate today were egg whites so I ordered three Jr. Bacon cheese burgers minus the bun and ketchup and also ordered a side salad which I didn't eat much of. I know I'm well over 65% with the three hamburger patties which had bacon and mayo on them. I am having a whole lot of trouble and am about to just quit eating altogether.. If someone can give me an idea of what they eat for a day I could get a better idea of what I'm supposed to be doing and how to stay within the 65% range of fat intake.
