      Hey Just had to say to anyone new here that I just bought Dr Atkins New Carbohydrate Counter book - it is SO helpfull!!

            I admire you quiting smoking and doing the atkins. You go girl! I need to quit.
            I can only imagine what its like to work near a bakery... I think the closed I cAN imagine is how the kids have 4-5 baskets literally stuffed tot he top with sweets. UGh.

              I have been using the nicotine patches - but suddenly realised today that I haven't used one for 2 days! quite amazing - will see how long I can keep it up!

                wow - still no nicotine patch BUT think have started to eat more which is not good - so will try to keep that in check - calories have gone right to the max of what I should have some days.


                Had BP done today 170 / 90 hmm bit high but was rushing around before hand, also bloods taken for cholesterol - should get results on Friday. If they come back high I am going to get a retest in 6 weeks.

                Off out for breakfast now as hubbie and I both have a day off!!
                and gonna trawl round garages - reckon I deserve a new car as my 'no fags' reward!!

                    sorry to be a pain in the butt! but...........If I eat more calories than my body needs then surely I would put weight on even though I am getting the right pecentages of fat etc???

                    and if that is not the case - if I have a munchy day - as us girls do! then can I work my way through pepperami and cheese strings - just like I would have with chocolate?

                      What new car did you get? I bought a new car 2 months ago, black Tigra convertible and I love her to pieces. I cant wait for the summer so I can cruise around looking cool, lol.

                      Thank you for the compliment about looking younger, you are the first person to say that to me since being on this WOE. I definately think that 13_Jane has knocked years off her, she's such a star

                      Did Atkins on and off from Feb 2005 until April 2008. Fluctuated between 15 st 1/211lbs and 11 st 1/155lbs.
                      On different weightloss programme from 28th May 2008 start weight 14 st 11/207lbs.
                      Current weight 10st 3lbs/143lbs.
                      Ultimate Goal Weight 9 st/126lbs.

                        Hey Angelstar - that first picture could be you mother looking at her daughter - the latest pic! Well done you.

                        I reckon Rich looks really good as well!

                        Wow a Tigra - hmm you don't have the same trouble as me then! - a son who is 16 and over 6ft tall, built like a brick outhouse! pure muscle - he plays rugby - so had to get something big enough to carry him and his mates! So got a Renault megane scenic.
