      Hi Janet ( waving from australia)

      BE patient with your weight loss. Most people find that the weight comes off in fits and starts and does fluctuate here and there. TOM ( time of month) can certainly make you retain water which will disappear once it is over again. There will often be times when you feel discouraged but hang in there and you will have success. In the meantime you can always come in here for a whinge and some sympathy !At least you know you are not alone !!!! GOOD LUCK

        Hey donna,

        how's down under, I have relatives in Australia and i'd love to visit them one day. My went there for 3 months and did not want to return, she fell in love with it.

        thx for the support, the scales have not really moved since i last weighed in. I'm still waiting for my TOM so i could still be retained water until it over and done with.. We'll just have to wait and see......today i promised my self i will do at least 30 to 45 mins on the tredmill. I have not been behaving were excersise is concerned, so i need get a move on.

        Well done on your weight hon, you have my same goal. I would like to loose 20 to 25 kilos too. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! good luck to you toooooooo.

          Down under is great Janet although we are not getting enough rain at the moment!
          My scales havent budged for a few weeks either -- but it will happen when it is ready. I leave out milk and cookies everynight for the whooshie fairy but i think she has forgotten where I live! I really need to get more excercise in but it gets dark pretty early here now as we are heading into winter. To excercise during the day would mean i have to close my salon ( not good or business) I have been known to do "laps" of the salon ( picture mad woman power walking backwards and forwards from one end of hairdressing salon to the other 100 times) maybe i should install a treadmill ! ( i would if i had the space!) It feels so great to be 10 kilos lighter -- cant even begin to imagine how 20 kilos gone will feel....ONWARD TO GOAL I GO

            Hey Donna,

            Well we didn't get enough rain this winter either but now i'm looking forward till summer hopefully i will loose quite a bit by than i just need to push my self more in exercising. I have a tredmill at home, but by the time my 2 yr old son is asleep i feel tired my self. I just have to keep telling my self that it has to be part of my day to day routine.

            Still, I have a few doubts on some items i'm eating so they told me to go to the 'this is my menu' forum and will check it our right ofter i write this. I am taking part in the veggie challenge that should be great cause i'm very fussy with veg. Hey y dont u join in too.....we could be buddies and keep each other motivated in all this

            PS - My TOM has not come yet.......a few more days and i'll test that out

              hmm vege challenge -- I should be good at that - Love my VEGES! where do I sign up??? I used to feel exhausted when i was chasing the kids around too. I used to have to lie down and sleep with my son when he was that age because he would not have a sleep otherwise . I quite enjoyed it though -- I used to be good at the NANA NAP thing. Now he is Seventeen so well past that stage. ( thank god!) Do you find you have more energy since starting atkins? i had a few days where i would feel worn outall of a sudden at the beginning of induction but now I am really good.
              On the subject of the foods you are a bit worried about its a good idea to post a menu -- often others will see things that you dont and that helps a lot. I may even be able to help you as well.

                Hey sweet,

                If you go to the Main Forum menu, you will the the thread with challenges, on top you can see the veggie challenge that will strat on Next Monday.

                I only felt a little exausted at the very beginning of induction but now i feel like i could clean the whole house and go for an 1hr walk just aferwards!!.....Its only late at night that i really feel Worn out!! and am ready for a good night sleep. I'm doing my very best with veggies and have also printed out the PDF file from the veggy challenge cause they are measured in grms which is awsome for me as we dont measure in cups here.

                I have a question for you!! if you dont mind, what supplemts are you taking as in vitamins?

                thanks for the offer of helping me with the food, well just to give you an idea this is what i ate till now -

                8am - Decaf black coffee
                9.30am - 2 boiled eggs with 4 slices ofturkey ham
                1.00pm - Tuna and shrimp salad made out of Iceberg lettuce, 3 pieces of tomato, a few pieces of cucumber, topped with a sauce made out of mayo with alittle mint and lemon.

                3.30 - i will have a small snack
                6.30 /7.00 - chicken breast with remaining veggies
                i TRY to drink 1.5 liters of water through out the day.

                What do u think so far!!

                    any comments on my menu of the day. I'm sure an expert like you can give me great advice. I also checked out linda's recipe site that you had given me. So bascially it says that all the ones with the * are good for induction. Can i go ahead with that!!

                      Hi Janet

                      your menu looks pretty good . How do you go with the cafeine? some people find it gives them carb cravings. I havent had a coffee for about 18 years so i didnt have to give that up. The only thing i drink now is water and mineral water - usually about 3 liters a day ( can you hear me sloshing around?)                         hey donna,

                        Well I was never really in to all that coffee or tea in the first place, so i can stay without, but i really enjoy that 1 cup as soon as i get to my desk at work. I'm being very good with my water intake....aiming to bet better at that!!...hey no wonder i feel a little sea sick while reading your comments...ITS ALL THAT WATER u drink :P.

                        I dont really get cravings, actually i never did. For example i can stay without choclate if i dont see it, but when for example i give some goodies like smarties to my son, i get a huge urge to take and its only becuase I like what i see and I know they taste good. Apart from that i can stay with out a lot of things. I need to find some good low card sweet recepies cause you do feel like something sweet now and again.

                        Any recomendations hon?....Anyone!!

                            YES, and really looking forward to my first challenge. I'm not really a vggie girl, i like the common plain veggies but this could be a good thing to introduce some new veggies in my menu. VEGGIES!! BEWARE

                              I have lots of yummy stuff - I make "clouds" and chocolate bark. Cheesecake is yummy too and they are all induciton friendly. I can send you the recipes if you like
