  • Here I go again

Hello All. My name is Lori and I have been away for a long time. In March, I injured my back and on Monday of next week, will have a 4 level spinal fusion. From March until now, I have managed to gain 20+ pounds due to bad eating habits and inablility to really move. I would like to mention I also stopped smoking two weeks ago and did put on a few from that.

Even though it might seem like a bad time to restart this lifestyle, I think it can only be a good thing as weight loss will really help me recover from surgery. It is going to be tough and I am afraid that the weight loss will be slow going since it will take up to 12 weeks to really be able to get around fairly well.

I do hope I will find the support I have in the past on this board. You all have always been great for me!!!!!
Value your life not by how many breaths you will take, but rather by the moments that will leave you breathless

Welcome back Lori. So sorry to hear about your back issues. A spinal fusion sounds horrid. Here's to your ultra speedy recovery!

Sometimes, if we wait for the perfect moment to do things, that moment never comes. It's best to just get on and do it. Kudos to you for stopping smoking and now re-committing to Atkins just before your operation.

Come to the board often for support and inspiration. We're all behind you 100%!
