      Good Luck to you both. I know you will find the support here you need if you just come and ask. Post often, get involved in some challenges, read the book and drink lots of water.

        Terry,
        My bigest challenge will be walking into the gym after so many years . I don't realy have a prob with the diet, once I make up my mind to start. It will be hard when the rest are eating stuff I can't but I will just make sure I have what I need to fill up on.

          You'll find lots of support here along with knowledge. Explore the site, read & post often, ask questions, join a challenge or two, start a journal & most importantly READ the book...2002 version of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution(DANDR).

          Dr Atkins said..."The Atkins Nutritional Approach is not a 'diet'. In the limiting sense of a weight loss program that you go on and off, it doesn't deserve to be called a diet at all. it's a way of eating for the rest of your (healthy) life."

                Well, today was my first day and I actually went to the gym! I was alittle embarrassed walking in b/c I hadn't been there in months...but I'm ready to do this!!

                  Hi Hogansmum I only started today too, havent joined a gym yet so good on you for doing that im going to wait for the 14 day induction to be over and then use a lateral thigh trainer I have and I have signed up to commit to 1000 stomach crunches this month, ive been doing a few whilst watching the tv this evening

                      Happy New Year!!

                      I'm starting today as well! I did Atkins a few years ago and lost a power of weight in a few months. Unfortunately Ive indulged in too many pizzas and too many chinese takeaways and it's all came back. But i'm truly motivated to do something about it and I wish you every success!!
