    Hi everybody. My name is PattyAnn. I am a 32 year old Army wife living in Germany with my husband, two kiddies and 2 kitties! I am so happy to have found this place! I could truly use some support. A year ago, I started on Atkins and lost 20 pounds. I went off of the diet, though I only gained 4 pounds back. I am starting again today at 216 pounds and hope to get below 200 in the near future. Hope to learn lots from all of you and to stick with the program.

      I loved Germany when we visited with my husband's company. I just started for the first time in my life. Under 200 has been my goal for so long I can't remember when I crossed over. Now I am nearing 300 pounds and freaking out. I recently moved to a new place with out my family and teenage kids. So it's a new beginning for me. Think about how great it will be to go back and see family and friends looking fabulous!

        Awesome! I also looked into doing a metabolic type diet and when I was tested came in at "Extreme Protein Type". The diet is almost exactly like Atkins - so I figure may as well just do what I love.

          I was on a German Metabolic food plan called Metabolic Balance I lost 40 in the firt three weeks. The weight fell off so quick I couldn't register it in my head. I lost a total of 55 pounds. The plan was like Atkins but very strict and hard to stick to. I ended up gaining the weight back and more. I went on with two other friends and they also gained the weight back and couldn't stick to it. I am using some of the principals I learned from there here also.             Hello PattyAnn,
            I am an army wife too! We spent 7 years in Germany, In Hanau and Bamberg. We loved it there! Good luck to you on Atkins. We are now in TN, hoping to retire in 09. Looking forward to hearing your weight loss successes!.

                You are an inspiration - I actually have a glimmer of hope from all the before and afters listed on this board. I just have to place myself in the pictures and believe it can be done.
