  • New to this site, not to Atkins

    Hello everyone!

My name is Crissie and I have been doing Atkins for a year. My friend at work helped me get started, but she has left our office to work from home. Therefore, I lost my support system

I found this site and I am so happy to see people actively supporting one another! I also love the fact there are so many Atkineers willing to share their photos and stories. That is where I find the most inspiration.

When I started on Atkins in March 2007, I was miserable and at my all time highest weight of 273. I actually don't have many pics of me then, since I avoided the camera at all costs. After a year, I am down to 220, but I am struggling bad. I actually went down to 207 (my lowest weight in years) but put some pounds back on during my divorce - finalized in April. Since my divorced was finalized, I have moved to my new house, turned 40, worked out my new schedule, and also dealing with issues with the ex. The stress eating alone was getting out of control, so I finally put my foot down last week and decided to go back to induction. I am on day 2 of induction to get me back on track. My ultimate goal is to be around 160, but for now, I just want to get out of the 200's.

My 6 year old son is a wonderful support and has become my "trainer" reminding me to do my workouts and drink my water! He also asks me what amount of carbs are in the foods we are eating. He's too funny. And he can now put his arms around me, which he loves.

So, I hope this is not rambling, but I wanted to give you a "reader's digest" version of me. I look forward to working with all of you in reaching our goals .
