  • Hi - Michelle a newbie here, any advice for me?

    Hi Everyone,
I'm a new member here. I've done atkins in the past- and have always done good. 2 weeks induction- I've probably lost 5 lbs. I have yet to see the results some people do.. which is why this time around, i'm going to be as strict as possible.

I try to limit carbs to 30 a day.
I think my downfalls in the past have been:

-crystal lights in the bottle/ with the splenda? normally one a day
-couple of times cheated with a mich ultra beer.
-tend to have an atkins bar and shake in the same day- maybe too many atkins products?

This time around, i'm dead serious to abiding by all the rules.
I'm hoping to shed at least 10lbs this 2week induction.

    Thanks,
    Michelle

Have you checked out the rules.
Here are some threads in our FAQ that will help you.

http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)

Relatively speaking though you do not have that much to lose compared to some people and you cannot expect to lose tons on Atkins. It just does not work that way. But a little patience and working the program will give results. I think you have done a great job figuring out what you can improve.

Hi Michele - glad you are back with Atkins. Those of us who abide by the 2002 DANDR book don't use any Atkins products as they tend to stall weight loss. You will do much better with drinking pure water only - no crystal lite/tea, soda, etc. It is recommended at least 64 ounces per day of pure water. Also, stick with foods on the accepteble list = nothing else for the best results...it's only 14 days then you'll start adding more things back. Use the first 14 days wisely and you'll break your food and sugar addictions quickly.

      Good luck.
      Carole
