  • Tomorrow is the big day....

I will begin my new lifestyle tomorrow... stupid work had a potluck today and the temtations were just too much, but I tried. Probly had 50 carbs or so, but it was fruit salad.

Anyways, I am new and learning.. total beginner here. Been reading the book, and am quite motivated. Looking forward to friendship and the reward of losing 50 pounds!

              >>today was just so difficult. I had to bring bring a dish too and every insisted on my cool whip fruit salad.>>

Just because "everyone" insisted on your cool whip fruit salad, doesn't mean you have to eat it.

And hopefully, once you're doing Atkins and realize how much of a frankenfood Cool Whip is and how awful the stuff is for anyone to eat, you'll find something else they "insist" on you bringing.

Having "difficult" days ... well, that's part of changing your life. You're going to need a plan for the next "difficult" day.

Re: Tomorrow is the big day....

I brought lots of good stuff to eat through the day to work. hard boiled eggs, summer sausage, tuna, mayo (hellmans) sharp cheddar, portabella mushrooms, tomato bruschetta and mozz cheese to make my lunch (mini "pizzas")... then of course lots n lots of water. I'm a green tea addict so I have that, I do not sweeten it ever! So far I have a HORRIBLE headache and am super thirsty.. on 4th glass of water in since 8am (almost 2 hours). The headache sucks!

Hang in there (I know easier said then done and you just want to strangle the person that tells you this because you would probably feel better...)...it will pass. Eventually. As long as you stick to the water and flush it all out. Really.

                  You can do it!

How are you doing now? Has your headache subsided? If you need to take a couple pain releavers....no need to feel bad when you don't have to. Keep drinking water - it's the best thing you can do for your system!

Doing ok... had a rough weekend but I did ok. Headache is still with me, not much the ibuprophen is doing to help.. Aleve KILLS my tummy so I don't touch that stuff. Just drinking water and stuckin it up. Today I'm going to start my work out regime, heading to the local Y at lunch for 20 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes with weights... It feels good to lose weight.. the past week I've lost 5 pounds.. my belly is less bloated and my jeans doing hurt as bad!

Thanks for the sincere concern! Yall are a great bunch!

You can use pain relievers other than ibuprofen.

Not really... ibuprophen is the only thing that don't kill my tummy!
