  • No more lurking time to join in and lose

    I have lurked for many months and it is time for me to join in and lose this extra weight that is making me feel unattractive and unhealthy. I must say that I am very impressed by the lose of weight by many....I have tried Atkins in the past and done well but always seemed to creep back to my old eating habits. I am dedicated to beating this addiction that I have with all the bad foods and learn to eat healthier for myself and for my family. I have not always had this weight problem and I am positive that I will not have it for much longer....thank you all for being here.....the before and after photos really help to give strength to those of us struggling.....Glad to be here.

    2nd mini goal-160 ($50 shopping spree)
    3rd mini goal-150 ( $100 shopping spree)
    final goal-140 ($150 shopping spree and a tattoo)

      I had started the Atkins program a few months ago in Feb....I had lost quite a few pounds. Unfortunately I began to eat the way I used to and put some of the pounds back on. I have done some soul searching and deep thinking and this is not the way I want to live. I want to be thinner and healthier.....so I began the Atkins Way of Life instead of just a diet program.....I have lost 4 pounds in the last 3 days.         Yes it has to be a big decision to really change things around. I think those who can make that choice sincerely have a really good chance on this programme.

            This is an excellent start
            I honestly don't think I want to go back to my old habbits! I look at bread now and it doesn't even bother me! I wish you the greatest of success

                Wow Melisende--you sound like me! I've lost 4lbs in 3 days as well as decided to make this a way of eating, rather than just a diet. It's so great to be able to track with others that are trying to do the same thing as I am.

                  Thanks so much for your reply....I am pretty determined....I have been very happy with the results so far....6lbs so far and i got some strips and am in ketosis.... not to mention the looser fitting clothes.....I remind myself there will be ups and downs, the secret is to just keep positive and know that this is a better way of life.....I also feel the support here is a big plus as well as peoples progress stories and photos....when i figure out how to upload i will add my own...

                    Right---this is what I need to incorporate into my thought processes...not to mention that if I don't continue to eat this way, I'm bound to continue to gain. I already know that I CANNOT eat sugar, and it looks as though it's the same with white flour, and perhaps even any other stripped grains (I'm assuming so). So if I don't wanna gain the weight back, I need to do the right things.
