  • Hello from London, England!

    Hi,
    i'm Hayley... serial yo-yo dieter
ive done weight watchers and it worked well, i lost 4 stone and felt great, unfortunatly i swiftly put it all back on... spent the following 5 years losing a bit, putting it back on etc etc
    so.
i'm here to really try and sort mysef out... i'm 30 in 9 months and going on holiday to the Dominican Republic, but forgetting the holiday, i dont want to start the next stage of my life being overweight and constantly thinking about my weight, not going out because i feel embarressed.....

ive tried to convince myself many times that i'm happy overweight, but i'm not... i dont want to be a skinny bag of bones, but a healthy size 10(uk)would be very nice.

SO thats me i just know i'm gona be bugging you all with questions, i only hope you can put up with me and help me on my way.

    Thanks,
    Hayley xxx

      Hello Haley!

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (64 ounces equals 1.89 litre) – more is better but at least the minimum. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise.

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html - eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
      Carole
