Well all, I'm on day 33 of extened induction and so far things have been going well. I've currently lost 18.2 lbs and 12.25 inches! Exercise is going well; I actually feel extremely good while I'm doing my morning walks. I've noticed my energy level rising more and more each day, which is something I am going to truly try and appreciate with this WOE. I do plan to move on to OWL at the beginning of next week.
The only negative thing I've experienced, besides the induction flu in the beginning, is some heart palipitations. Anyone else experience this? I've been using Fitday to record my daily food intake and I've noticed that I am not getting nearly enough potassium so I'm wondering if that could be an issue. My mom has Atrial Fib. and frequently suffers arrythmias and I've been having these palipitations off and on since December but since being on Atkins I've noticed that they episodes seem to be getting more frequent. I'm doing a lot of research on my own to try and pin down some natural ways to approach this problem. If anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear from you. If you know of a food that is high in postassium which is appropriate for OWL level 1, please let me know that too.
Speaking of my mom, she went to see her new Caridologist today. I've not heard from her yet regarding his opinion of her being on Atkins or if he is open to treating her from a more natural approach. I'll keep you all updated when I find out more.
Well, that's it for now. Thanks for reading and I hope each of you have a terrific low-carb day!
