So its week 13... Unlucky for some.
So its been a mixed bag again this week..
Not a good week for the gym, my gym buddy was off on a training course and I had a lot of work to catch up on before I fly away for a week tomorrow. So only went to the gym once for a 1 hour cardio session.
Food wise, I think I behaved with just a couple of vices possibly.
I say possibly, because twice this week I was too hectic to cook.. So I went for my (hopefully atkins friendly) takeout dinner.
This meal consists of a Chicken shish kebab.
Contents of this meal are...
- Square chunks of grilled chicken (about 1lb)
- About 4 pickled green chilli peppers
- About one tomato - Sliced
- About 3 cubic inches of sliced cucumber
- a pitta bread (that I throw away)
- Probably about 2 table spoons of mayo
My only concern with this meal is the chicken, I suspect it is possibly coated with yogurt and possibly spices before its grilled... I need to confirm this, its just the last time I had I thought to myself, is this just char grilled or does it taste/look like it might have been marinaded.. But it tastes gooood.
Also just done my second set of photos.. Visually for weeks people have been saying I have lost weight.. and I last had pictures taken of me back 13 weeks ago on day one.. So I thought it would be a good time to get some during pictures..
I will not be posting them until I get some more progress and take some more during pictures.. This will probably be around christmas time.
I was actually a little disshartened by the pictures, as they do show I am shrinking, but not as quick as I would like... but its ok
I have just done my weight and measure session.. my progress is as follows..
Neck - Unchanged
Chest - Down 3/4 inch (WOW)
Bisep - Down 1/4 inch
Waist - Down 1/2 inch (WOW)
Hips - Down 1/2 inch (WOW)
Thighs - UP 1/2 inch (???)
Calves - Down 1/4 inch
Forearm - Down 1/4 inch
Weight - Down 2.5 Lbs
Which is better news.. generally the trend is downward.. the thighs are a puzzle though.. maybe some muscles are growing?!?!?
Oh yes.. earlier I mentioned I had a couple of cheats.. one was the shish kebab.. the other was last night I demolished an iced bun! Sugar and carb city!!.. It was nice, but not worth it.. I will try to be good
OK. so in the morning I fly off to my holiday home in Turkey for a week.. Mainly to pay some bills, unwind a little and buy a new TV for out there.. There will be no gym, but there will be lots of walking, lots of stairs and lots of ancient ruins to climb.
My diet for this week will tricky.. but I will try to be good.. but there will almost certainly be some slips.
So my next blog entry, rather than being the south coast of england, will be the west coast of Turkey!
