Last week it was so hard for me to stay on Atkins, like I should have, I was scared to step on the scale. But when I did I was glad to see the numbers have moved and I have now lost 22 lbs!

I know I went over my carb count several times, but my exercise must have made up for the difference. I have been back on plan the last few days and feel great.

This is my second time on Atkins and the weight is coming off, but at a much slower pace that the time before. I attribute that to being older with a slower metabolism and I really let me body down the last two years and was not taking proper care of myself. Even though it is fustrating at the speed of the lose, I would rather lose it slowly than not at all, I think in the long run it is healthier for me.

I have 56 lbs to go to goal and my target date is next May. I know I can do it. I am a little concerned about the holidays, but know I can make it through without too much trouble. After all it is only food and I am in controll of what goes in my mouth!
