Grrrrrr...
Okay so today I went and bought a digital scale thinking that I could get a more accurate reading that way. I probably should have thought of this before I started. As my luck would have it....it's 8.5 BIG lbs. different. Go figure....how frustrating. Now I don't know if I should continue using the scale I started with. Advice pleeeease...

I know all too well the frustration of hopping on a scale. They say not to weigh yoiurself everyday but the temptation is hard to resist when it's staring you in the face. In the past, I have even gone so far as to have my daughter hide the sacel ( I actually find it's the scale that destroys my efforts.)
I have heard that digital scales are actually LESS accurate for weight--the best ones to use are the ones that actually have a "balance beam" or whatever they call it-- you know, the ones in the Dr.s offices.
Also, are you weighing yourself at the same time of day? Your TRUE weight is first thing in the a.m. AFTER you have gone to the bathroom. ( It's also better to do this naked, as clothing can add pounds). You also need to take other factors into consideration-- isn't getting toward "that time of the month", are you constipated, etc. I speak through experience as all of these factors play a role. Dont mean to be blunt and hope you dont take offense to my wording!
Anyway...if you must weigh yourself--do so at the same time every day on the same scale--not at the end of the day because the food you eat does weigh something!
Hope this helps, and good luck with your efforts!
I do weigh myself inthe morning and at the same time. I only do it once a week. I've got this down. All it boils down to is a technical difficulty in one of the scales. I just have to determine which one is right. I am going to put a 10 lb. weight on both of them and see which one is the accurate one...hopefully it's the lower of the 2 haha
