Okay, I didn't listen to the good doctor and have all my bloodwork done prior to Atkins but I had some drawn today. I should know the results next week I suppose.
The reason the tests were ordered (mostly looking at the thyroid) is because of an irregular heartbeat. I have always had heart palpitations but now my heart is pretty much constantly going nuts and I am so very tired all the time. So the doc said it could be my thyroid.
I have always been a very healthy person (not counting the fat of course). I have never had to be on meds for anything longer than an antibiotic so I am hoping that I won't have to start anything. I'm also concerned that if I do it will stall, stop altogether, or reverse(God fobid) what I have already achieved on Atkins.
<Sigh>
<waiting>

I, too, have heart palpitations and I have added potassium, calcium and magnesium supplements to my daily routine and now I only occasionally have the arrythmia. I ususally only experience it when I'm really physically tired and it the episode doesn't last nearly as long as it used to. I take 2 99mg potassium a day/ 2 600mg calcium and 1 magnesium a day. I hope this helps and let us know how things work out.
Take care, hope all the news is good!
I was thinking of the potassium and magnesium. Didn't know about the calcium for arrythmia. I have stopped all supps at the moment. I might start back at half the doses I was taking. I have been taking the vitamin, chromium, cinnamon, l-carnatine with alpha lipoic acid. I was hoping they would increase my weightloss so I tested them over this last week and no increase. :-(
So I stopped taking them on Friday so they would out of my system by this morning for the tests.
Thanks again guys!
