This morning ended week one of my back to Atkins push.
I am a 52 year old male diabetic with the beginning signs of retinapathy and neuropathy. Of all the times I have fought to keep my blood glucose under control, when I am following the Atkins plan, I have the greatest success.
I started Weight Watches about 10 months ago and managed to move from 354 to 290, but started gaining back. Couldn't seem to stop it.
Tuesday, February 16th I had managed to recover to 294 when I recommited to Atkins.
Week 1 - was a mixed bag, 2 dinners out I gave in to french fries and baked potatoes (not both on the same night.) Last night I had pizza. As of this morning I was down to 289. That is the first time below 290 since I was hired on at my present job, almost 17 years ago.
Week 2 - I need to work harder on the commitment and really push the water. I'm not one for getting caught up in time commitments or large weight loss goals. The next target is to beat 280. One week, two weeks, three... I don't care, just as long as I get there.
Today is the first day of my Atkins life. Tomorrow will be the first day of my Atkins life, as long as I get there! LOL!
One day, one meal, one bite at a time.
Failure is not an option!

McDs actually put the burger in a salad dish for no charge. (Subway charges you extra to convert a sandwich to a salad.)
