High Protein Egg and Tuna Snack

Now, this recipe may not sound very good, but I often make it for breakfast or as an afternoon snack and enjoy it quite a bit.

What you will need (1-2 Servings):

    - 2 Hard boiled eggs, yolks removed

    - 1/4-or-so can of flaked white tuna

    - 1 Tsp. Mustard (I use Frenchs)

    - Chilly Powder (Opptional Amounts)

    - Pepper (Opptional Amounts)

Once you have the yokes removed from the egg whites (You may keep or get rid of them as desired), mix tuna with mustard and add chilly powder (if you decide to use the powder). When it is evenly mixed, take a spoon and separate the tuna mixture into the egg white halves. Sprinkle pepper if desired.

    Nutritional Information (Four Egg Halves):

    Calories; 82 - Carbs; 0g - Fat; 1g - Protein; 15g

I usually add a small amount of hot sauce into the mixture as well before adding it to the egg whites, but not everyone likes their food to be so spicy. I also leave them in the fridge to cool for a while before eating them, but as I said before, I really enjoy them as a high protein snack.

I hope that if you try this recipe, you will enjoy it as I do, and thanks for stopping by. If you do try it out, please comment on how you liked it, or disliked it, or with what you think could make it better. Thanks again.

I will definitely try and let you know..

I've mixed tuna with hard boiled eggs at work for snack or meal - mix in mayo and seasonings. I also mix in some cheese and heat in the microwave...great with celery!

      also good with salmon.

        >> Carbs; 0g>>

Your carb counts are incorrect ...

eggs have carbs, mayonnaise has carbs, mustard has carbs, chili powder and pepper have carbs.

I did not see any mayo in the recipe. So to me it looked like one of those diet recipes from a count calorie place.
It would be too proteiny for me if the egg yolk was thrown out. But I like the idea. I think I may like it with pickles too.

Yes need to count all carbs and spices can be quite carby - depending on which ones we choose.
