    Re: Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

I made these Wednesday night for DH and he absolutely loved them! (I don't like peanut butter cookies so I didn't eat any.)

These will be in my homemade recipe book for treats to make for my sweetie! I recommend them to anyone who likes and misses peanut butter cookies.

      Re: Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

I made these last week and they were really good--but they were wayyyy too sweet for my preference, even when I didn't add the all the splenda. I DID add a couple tablespoons of atkins baking mix and only 1c. splenda, as well as some peanuts. I cooked them for 10 min. and let them cool.

      Great recipe!

        Re: Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

I asked Matt about the sweetness since I've heard other people say the same thing and he thought they were just fine.

I used the Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter -- only peanuts and salt. No sugar or any type of sweetners.

For those of you who thought it was too sweet, was your peanut butter sweetened or unsweetened?

Just curious if that would make a difference.

My husband loves these so much that he ate the whole batch. I'm not making them for him anymore because he obviously can't control himself.

I used natural PB too but still thought they were too sweet but I don't use any sweetner in any of my foods either.

                  Whoa...

Those aren't quite low carb there...they look great, but certainly not low carb. The brown sugar and the baking powders/sodas are not allowed. Definitely lower carb I guess...

Ok, so I'm making these now...I got only 12 cookies out of the batch (guess I like big cookies). I'll let you know the verdict afterward...

                            OK...soo...they are very good!

I think I put them too close to the bottom of the oven though because the bottoms started burning about 9 minutes in. At 10, I had to take them out. They were still not quite cooked all the way through. So they're a little dense in the middle. I wish it didn't need so much Splenda because they are very sweet.

                            Still very good though!

These cookies were very yummy but so sweet! They also set off cravings. However peanut butter is a problem food for me so I should have known better.

Maggie, I feel your pain. These cookies are soooo delicious to me (and I only add about 1/3 of the splenda called for) and set off major cravings. I've decided they're way too dangerous to make.
