    Good Old Fashion New York Egg Cream



    Ingredients



    Ice (ZERO Carbs)

    2 or 3 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream (There is 1g per oz carbs and 1 oz is 2 Tblspns: 1 to 1 ½ g Carbs)

    Two Packets of Splenda (2g carbs)

    ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract ( ¼ g Carb)

    Seltzer water (Check label Mine = ZERO Carbs)





    Take at least a 16oz glass and fill with ice. Add Heavy Cream, Splenda & Vanilla Extract. Stir together a bit and then add Seltzer to fill the glass. Give it a quick stir and enjoy!



    To lower the carb count even more substitute DaVinchi’s SF Flavors for the Splenda and Vanilla… This is also a good way to enjoy different flavors of Egg Creams…



    Carbs:



    With Splenda and Vanilla Extract = 4g carbs

    With DiVinchi’s SF Flavor = 1 ½ g carbs



    This recipe is an original by ME… It got me through those cravings during induction and is a special treat even now…

    Isn't there some chocolate in an egg cream?
    Anyways I used to make what you described all the time...really helped kill cravings.

      Iap... The most well known egg cream is the chocolate egg cream... I grew up in New York and in the summer time we had Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry egg creams to choose... I might be... hem.. a little older BUT I am always open to new ideas... Good thing too... I LOVE to choose from Rasberry, coconut, almond and can even make a neat mounds or almond joy type of egg cream...
