  • Cinnamon Tea: Naturally SWEET!

    I tried this after a friend of mine asked me to try it. It's interesting because the tea is naturally sweet! You get a burst of sweetness and a nice, but not over-powering cinnamon flavor. It's nice hot or cold.

    An added benefit is that cinnamon is said to control blood sugar levels---which is good for Atkineers because it will help keep your blood sugar stable and prevent any things like cravings.

    Cinnamon Tea

    2 cups water
    Two 2-3 inch long cinnamon sticks, broken in half

    Put the water and the sticks into a pot. Bring to a boil. Boil for about a minute. Then reduce the heat, cover the pot and simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes.

    I have heard in other diet books that I have read and other things I have researched, that tea is equivalent to water. So in other words you can drink as much as tea as you want--I am totally new to all this--is that true for the Atkins diet?
    Life is a shipwreck, but we must not forget to sing in the life boats.
