We have a worm farm in the area and I went last week and they gave me a tour, which was wonderful. (and for $99 I could have worms to keep on my kitchen counter- NOT) Anyway they had a beautiful organic garden were I went and picked my own lettuce and broccoli. OMG it was delicious. The man (an aging hippy like myself) told me that organic foods generally had more fiber, especially the canned. So I checked it out and hang the expense, I started to buy organic.

Re: Do you do Organic
I use organic where I can. I prefer real eggs to the grocery store eggs as I grew up on farm eggs. Meats, they just arent available here locally.Vegetables, selection isnt what I like it to be at the store. I do buy as much as I possibly can from the local farmers market- veggies and fruits there. Some isnt certified but is still grown organically and its local which is even more important to me. We have one local 'heatlhfood' store that is owned locally and while Id love to purchase as much possible, its just not feasable.Female, 30

Re: Do you do Organic
My biggest issue is with feeding my kids meats with all the hormones in it. That's what they're blaming for the fact that the average girl is developing at a much younger age than they did 20 years ago.

Re: Do you do Organic
I wish I could afford to buy more, organic milk here is around $9 for 4 litres
. I love organic strawberries, though they're smaller, i find they have way more tasted. I also buy organic yogurt. other than that i can't afford much else.

Re: Do you do Organic
We try to grow alot of our own veggies in season so I guess I eat organic, we fertilize with cow poop and home made compost. (you ought to see the worms in our compost Lynne!) Occasionally I'll buy organic produce but I'm not paying 3 times what the regular stuff costs for something that "says" organic, how do you even know it really is?

Re: Do you do Organic
I do like Organic eggs, Vegetarian fed. The color of the yolk is so much "oranger"? (Is that a word?) And I do look for other organic veggies, have bought some meat at Whole Foods. It was awesome, hubby was impressed with the cuts, but yeah, expensive.BARB
