Hi everyone
I got into the whole coconut oil thing after reading up about its' virtues. I bought a tub from GNC (Emerald Laboratories) and it was great! I added it to yogurt and muffins and cooked with it. I could almost (almost but not quite) eat it plain it had such a great coconutty flavor. Saw that put some people off but I was a fan. Then I went onto my second jar, this time Spectrum Naturals Coconut Oil and couldn't believe the difference in taste! This one, while probably better for you as it's organic and expeller-pressed, has no coconut flavor at all and is unpalateable without doctoring in some way. Probably great for cooking something that doesn't work with a coconut flavor. I much prefer the first one though. Does anyone know if one is that much better for you than another?
