      ok some of my favorites.

      1. scallops sateed in butter and garlic and fresh black pepper, a side salad is great with this.

      2. salmon steak fried in butter and soy sauce (if you have never tried butter and soy mixed you are missing out!) with a side of fresh brocoli with blue cheese for dipping

      3. grilled pork chop with a spinach/bean sprout/bacon sautee (sauteed in sesame oil..yummy!)

      4. ground beef, egg plant, tofu all fried up together with chinese spices and soy sauce.

Hey guys, I built a web database interface for Atkins meals. Later today I should be able to post a way to get a meal out of the database, but right now it's up & functioning for entering meals.

The idea (eventually) is that you select what phase of Atkins you're on, select the number of carbs & calories you want for a given meal, and then select any foods you'd prefer to avoid... submit and it spits out your meal for you as though it were a recipe.

I don't want to post this in too many different places, but if you would be willing to submit your meals to the database to share with others, you can access it here. I have another thread in this forum w/ instructions on how to post, and a sample page.

That sounds great Ang! My neat-o meal came from the Atkins site and was wonderful!! It was "Deep Dish Pizza" It has plenty of eggs and cheese, so make sure you don't eat those at your other meals when you plan on having this! The crust is made up of eggs, cream cheese and cheese. After you bake it, you add the sauce and more cheese! Yummy!! :tigger
                170/162/130- 5'6"- 8 lbs in three days!!!

I WILL do it this time.

                  My Favourite So far

My favourite "Atkins meal" that I have found so far has to be the Curried chicken and cucumber salad, which I found in one of my Atkins recipe books

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I'm not sure I would have made it this far if it weren't for...

                    Buffalo Wings!!!

Try to go easy on the bleu cheese though

I am new here! Thanks for all of the great ideas everyone
bcw17333-You said you posted your lime-pepper chicken in the recipe section but I have no idea what recipe section you were referring too! There are a lot of them!
here is a great recipe I like to make:

CHICKEN WITH CABBAGE AND BACON (LOW CARB)

1 lb of bacon, cooked (till its chewy) in an electric fry pan, do not drain.
3/4 of a large head of cabbage cut like you would for cole slaw.
                      2-3 onions chopped
                      italian seasoning
                      garlic

Saute the 5 of these, till they "cook down" and then put chicken breasts on top of them... still in the electric fry pan.. put cover on pan, and cook at about 300°F for about 30 min, checking and stirring, every 5 min or so to be sure nothing sticks or burns.
"While Darwinian Man, though well-behaved. At best is only a monkey shaved!"

I love salads and like just about anything in a salad.

so I start with my basic green salad mix, and I love the darker lettuce such as the romaine and endive type.
Then I just get in the frige and see what I have to add, some radishes, cucumbers, celery, cauliflower, broccoli, black olives, little bit of green onions (think small amount here especially on induction, but I like my onions and they have so many health benefits, that I am willing to cut some other places at times and go ahead and use onions. Most of the time it doesn't require cutting carbs any other place because just a little onion adds a lot of flavor.) Little bit of tomatoes, I usually use the cherry tomatoes. (again the health benefits from tomatoes is tremendous, it just takes restraint for me because I am one who used to make tomato and mayo sandwiches. I mean I love a good fresh ripe tomato.)
Chop up some hard boiled egg and through on. Then my favorite low carb dressing the Honey Mustard dressing from Dana Carpender's low carb cook book. This particular dressing has 1 carb per tablespoon.
Now sometimes I just love to make a complete meal out of the salad and so I take my meat and add to the salad. You know things like bacon, chicken breast, sausages, pork chops, the list can go on and on.
                          That is it.

Oops guess I was caught up in the moment and forgot this thread was really for fully cooked meals, but hey I still like a good full salad.

Hey, Brandip22, do you have that deep dish pizza recipe? I can't find it on the atkins site or in the book.

I am really trying ot find ways to use the foods I can eat in meals, most especially cream cheese..

Any way to entice folks to post their ENTIRE menu for the day? That would be helpful. Hard to balance out things in the beginning, etc.
