    What about sausage links?

Also, try not to get in the mindset where you must have breakfast foods at breakfast. I'll occasionally have some cold left overs from the night befores meal, or even some cheese and ham rollups.

One of my favorite breakfast -- I cut two half-inch cubes of sharp cheddar cheese. I cook up two strips of bacon. While the bacon is still hot, I wrap it around the cubes of cheese and let it sit for a minute. The cheese gets warm but not soft, the bacon crisps up around the cheese - yum!!

I also eat hot flax/wheat bran "cereal" for breakfast. Here's my recipe:

      1 tbsp flax meal
      2 tbsp unprocessed wheat bran
      1/4 tsp cinnamon
      1 packet Splenda
      pinch of salt
      Water

I grind the flax meal, wheat bran, cinnamon and Splenda together, place in a bowl and add enough water to make a thin mixture. Microwave for 45 seconds. Some people add cream and butter to this once it's cooked, but I prefer it "as is". It's also good flavored with Da Vinci SF flavored syrups in place of the Splenda.

I do also have leftover meats from dinner, or leftover tuna salad once in awhile. But I prefer breakfast to be "breakfast-like" so I pretty much stick with the above. I don't do eggs - ever - never have, never will! LOL

Very nice if you spread the meat with cream cheese and then roll them up.

Wheat bran is allowed during Induction as a fiber supplement.

                  Chapter 8 in DANDR 2002:
How can you get the benefits of fiber without the carbs contained in these foods? The answer is supplementation. I recommend that you take one tablespoon of psyllium husks daily. Be sure to select a sugar-free product. You can also take one tablespoon of coarse wheat bran or flaxseed meal.
The post is from 2004 though. Back then, Joan was past Induction, I believe.

                    Re: breakfast

I know this was posted almost over a year ago.. But i always make "pickle wraps" for holidays and my sisters birthday because she loves them. I take lunch meat <any kind you like> cream cheese soften and take pickle spears and cut them length ways into 3 slices. Spread the cream cheese on the lunch meat and then the pickle, and then roll them up! It sounds so weird but their so good! Let me know if you try them!
