Diet Coke with splenda

I came across this in the supermarket the other day and thought others might be interested.. its a new version of diet coke with splenda instead of nutrasweet.. I haven't seen it yet anyplace else but I tried some of it and I thought it was one of the best tasting diet drinks I have tasted and I have never been one to drink diet soft drinks.

Sure its not as healthy as water, but for those who struggle with soda addictions this might be an alternative.

I got a free 2 liter bottle the other day and I think it's really good. I don't care for regular Diet Coke, but I liked this because it's not as harsh as regular or Diet Coke. Can you guess that I'm a Pepsi drinker? It doesn't taste anything like Pepsi though, and it still has that lemony kick of regular Coke, but milder.

I have never been able to drink any diet product, because of that nasty aftertaste. I have tried this diet coke with splenda, and man it this stuff awsome. Very little aftertaste, and it taste good. My question is, will it affect the weight loss at all, and can I drink this throughout the day. Also, does low carb candies with sugar alcohol affect my diet. Thanks

You are allowed 3 servings of artificial sweetener per day. Coke is 1 and 1/2 servings per 12 ounce can. so you could technically have 2 sugar free caffeine free diet drinks per day provided you do not have any other artificial sweeterners that day. You must still consume the recommended amount of water as well, the cokes won't count towards that.

:wave I am drinking a bottle of it right now...I love it..anyway no its not caffeine free but I wish they would hurry up and make it a caffeine free version so that I don't feel as if I am cheating on the Induction phase. :confused

personally tastewise I prefer the original diet coke, splenda sweetened drinks have a more syrupy sweet aftertaste to me, like a flat coke. but in the end I suppose it's what you get yoursefl used to.

I never liked diet coke till after I broke my tastebuds in on diet pepsi heh didn't like it at first either but it was a tad more tolerable (it's not as harsh as coke so the sweetner aftertaste was a little less noticible to me)

I had a taste of it tonight. It tastes like regular Pepsi to me. I was a Diet Coke fan before this WOE. I realized the other day that I haven't had a glass of DC in about 6 weeks. I prefer to drink water most of the time now.

I agree with MPatient1, The Diet Coke with Splenda is a bit sweet, and it a tad flat, it doesn't give you those burps that snap your head back like regular diet coke, but I'm sure I can grow accustomed to the new taste since it is healthier than Nutra-sweet. I was a cola drinker for years, but my absolute favorite diet soda is Barqs Diet rootbeer.

I was hoping that the diet coke would taste like regular coke, but it just tastes like diet coke with splenda...I might try the coke 0 or whatever. I like diet rite cola the best.

This is the worst soda I've ever had, and I've been drinking diet cokes and various other sodas exclusively since I was 6 years old. Yes I know it's not good, but all the same, I can't stand diet coke with splenda at all! I prefer the diet rites and coke zero.

ooo diet barq's yeah that's good... and Diet cherry vanilla Dr Pepper. would always prefer those but rarely think beyond grabbing a diet coke & going

I don't like diet coke w/ splenda. Coke Zero is much better IMO.
