    Re: CarbOptions Skippy Peanut Butter

Carb Options peanut butter IS sweetened with Splenda, and its very good, tastes like regular skippy. I just have a 1/2 tsp about every 2 weeks for that mouth feel, cures any cravings cold.

Isn't the Carb Options the one with trans fats in it?

I like natural macadamia nut butter.

All I am saying is that I LOVE PB!!! I eat it with just a spoon and with celery! It is the greatest gift to me! Pure happiness!

I prefer Skippy to Carb Options, much smoother and creamier!

I'm glad someone posted this; it reminded me to get some at the store today. Super crunchy for me, and it is soooooooooo good!! I'm eating on a spoon as we speak.

I like the Kroger Natural brand (Crunchy for me). It has just peanuts and salt. I have found that if you turn the jar upside down for 4-5 days before opening it, much of the oil migrates to the top (actually the bottom of the jar) and it is much easier to mix up. When you put it in the frig, it stays mixed. It is also cheaper than the national brands.

Wow, I thought for sure you'd prefer the Peter Pan. Oh well, to each his own One of my biggest problems with the Skippy is that I can taste the soy it. I can be a little soy phobic, though. And the price of the Peter Pan has been going up a bit since that previous post. When I first starting buying it, the Peter Pan was 1.79 and the Skippy 3.19. Now I think the Peter Pan is in the 2.19 realm and the Skippy is closer to 2.99.

I still adore the Peter Pan.

                  Re: CarbOptions Skippy Peanut Butter

I think PB is pretty much a heavenly treat and I am such a nut addict. I am on induction and I know I would eat too much of it and it isn't in the plan yet, so I made sure all the PB was out of the house when I started. I am sure people eat it and still lose, but I am trying to go by the book for once in my life. I honestly don't think I will ever be able to eat just a few nuts since they are such a comfort food for me.

Publix supermarkets here in Florida sell fresh ground peanut butter in the deli! It is wonderful but could use some salt for my taste! Ingredients: Fresh ground roasted peanuts.
