anybody try the new Atkins wraps at Subway? Should I try one?

  • #2
Yes, I have tried the chicken bacon and ranch wraps. They are great. I also buy a low carb tortilla and make my own. So, if your not on induction, yes go get one, you will like it.

Reminder to newbies, these are not allowed during induction.

I don't think the subway wraps are very good

Something about microwaved chicken, it grosses me out. But if you have a hankerin for fast food well then go for it.

The chicken is already cooked, they just microwave it to warm it up and to melt the cheese. It is really GOOD!!!

I haven't tried these wraps yet either. I keep saying I'm going to get one and haven't.

I did buy some low carb tortilla wraps and wrap my own. I use them in place of low carb bread now and I really like them. I had one with slices of roast beef in it for lunch today.

I hope the wraps will be better for me than the bread as far as the weight loss goes.

Anyway, I still want to try one of the Subway wraps too.

I tried a chicken and bacon ranch one yesterday and liked it okay but found it extremely salty. I suspect it was the dressing that was so salty and would ask them to use half as much or less if I ever got it again.

I also only ate about half the wrap itself--tore off the parts where it was doubled up (and then reassembled them to see how much I hadn't eaten, hahahaha). It wasn't that I disliked it, just that it was my first "bread" in seven weeks, and I was feeling like I didn't need it all, like I didn't want to get into the bread habit again, and just generally guilty even though I had plenty of carbs available, LOL!

You can also get a regular Subway sandwhich done as a wrap. Ofcourse some you wouldn't want to do like meatball sub or ones with sweet sauces, but I had a steak and cheese last week that was really good.

I had one with turkey breast, lettuce, black olives and a bit of mayo and it was delicious and filled me right up.

When I go to subway I get the wrap but I order it with:

                        Ham
                        Cheese
                        Lettuce
                        Tomato
                        Green Peppers
                        Peppercinis
                        Bacon
                        Avacado
and Mustard its really GOOD! :joy

                            Subway

:joy They're good but expensive. I found a brand of whole wheat wraps by La Tortilla at our King Soopers. They only have 3 net carbs so I make my own. Much tastier and alot cheaper than Subway.

I have found that each of the subways make their own price. There are 3 in my town. Two charge the same for a wrap as they do a six inch sandwich and the other charges the price of a foot long sandwich. Needless to say that was one mistake I wont make again!
