Low-carb doritos. USNews (I think, might've been another publication of a similar bent) did a roundup for low-carb foods with some of their food critics recently and they slammed the things as awful. Carb count per serving (which is small) is also high.

I bought a bag yesterday, I only ate a few just to try them, they taste god just like nacho cheese doritos, but the texture of the chip is different, kinda dry chalky IMO.
they was descent not great, would need lots of water to eat them.
If I wasn't on a low crab diet i would not eat them.
I still prefer BBQ Pork Rinds myself ( yes I know they have sugars with the BBQ pork rinds) but they taste better and I'm on OWL

Not sure about the trans fat, but I do know that they contain added sugar.
They come in nacho cheese, cool ranch, and regular tortilla flavors that I've seen. They do have a "chalky" taste, plain are good with salsa but you are wayyyyyy better off sticking to those pork rinds or "cheese chips" imo!

Our Walmart Super Center has them. They are like 2.99 or something to that effect. The Ranch flavor are good also. There is also the Tostitos Edge (6g carb for 14 chips) if you want something to dip with picante (2g carb per 2 tbsp).
The Tostitos Edge and Doritos Edge (Ranch) claims 0g Trans fat. Before and Current Photos

at first I thought, oh no, those can't be good for you... but after looking at the label they are mostly soy protein and corn.... I will probably try these at some point, I will wait because there is no way i will only eat one serving.... Doritos are what got me chubby in the first place!

I've tried the doritos and the cheetos both - really found that I couldn't eat that many of them at a time and I can DOWN an entire bag of the regular ones without even blinking. I think they're more dense or something, not sure what it is. They taste pretty good though, but have that weird soy flavor thing going on....Female

My dad works for frito lay, so my family and I always get to try the newest thing from the company. When my dad first brought home some edge cheetoes I was so excited because I love cheetoes, but they tasted awful, I couldnt eat anymore than a few. They were so chalky and dry, I didnt like them at all. My dad is supposed to bring me home some of the doritos ones on thursday because those are the only ones I havent tried yet. But I think after everything, they're not going to be worth the carbs and I'd be better off eating my pork rinds.

My sister got some of these and I tried one. :no I'll never look at Doritos quite the same again.
Tastes kind of like a dorito meets a frito.. with a real crumbly texture.
Has a kind of funky aftertaste.. not horrible.. but just different. :yikes
