  • Skippy peanut butter

This is a good brand of low carb peanut butter. To me it tastes just like the real thing. That spread on celery stix makes a great snack! The price isn't that bad either. I found it to be ver comparable with the price of regular PB!

Is that the Carb Option Skippy? I have tried a spoonful and it was good. But others have said that we need to watch the trans fat in this product. They recommended the natural peanut butter. When I get to OWL, I'll figure it out then. But it is very yummy, enjoy!!!!!

Unfortunately, I bought this PB too, looking at the carb count and not the ingredients. Got it home, loved it, and THEN read the ingredients. It's very high in partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, which is a definite no-no during Induction (or any other phase???).

Atkins says the peanut butter you want should NOT be hydrogenated - you can tell because the oil from the peanuts lays at the top of the jar.

I'm using this expensive CO Peanut Butter to give my dog her medicine now. She likes it, if that's any help.

Atkins said to avoid partially hydrogenated vegetable oil altogether.

I eat Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter. The only ingredients are peanuts and salt. At first, it may taste different to you, but now I can't even think about eating regular PB. Just be careful as it is easy to overindulge (at least for me :raving )

            2 Tbs = 6 total carbs - 2 fiber = 4 net carbs.

Just remember, this is for OWL, not induction.

Yep, all peanut butter brands (that i have seen) have transfats, except for natural peanut butter.. it doesnt taste as good, but its a lot safer to eat and better for you. Give the smuckers natural PB a try, i bet you will like it.

I have also found a brand called IM Healthy SoyNut Butter. Lower carb than peanut butter, and while it does have a soy taste, it isn't have bad. The Soy taste isn't a bad thing, just different from peanuts.

Today i was at Kroger and they have a brand of peanut butter called carver, it has 4net carbs per 1/3 cup and no trans fats, and it tastes just like the skippy and peter pan.. very good stuff. Better than the natural IMO.
