  • Atkins Brownie Mix .....Totally xcellent!

I had cookout on Saturday as most of you know....I wanted to have a little dessert and wanted to make the cookout as normal as possible...So I chose the Atkins brownie powder mix, add one egg, 1/3 water, 1/3 oil...I added a few pieces of nuts and they were xcellent....Anyone else tried these?

Aren't those like 8 carbs per serving :yikes I thought they were not allowed on Induction... I've had the muffins and they were horrible. Tasted like chemicals... I think I would hold off on those until later stages of this WOE.

Well its stated its like 7 g of carbs per serving and the serving size is like 3inch square but I just wanted a little something sweet and I would imagine its ok if you don't eat the whole pan....lol

I believe this got moved because they are not for Induction. I did check and they are for the other 3 phases, because of the flour. It is not allowed in Induction. So, while eating that, did you keep your carbs under 20 for the day?

The brownies are NOT for induction they are made with whole wheat flour instead of wheat gluten and soy flour, like the others ones.

I eat them occasionally, with a dollup of whipped cream and sliced strawberries.mmmmmm goood.

I might need to have one now.. I think its been a month or so..

Thought the brownie mix was alright. Not as good as the banana muffins. What I thought made the product better was to cook the muffins or brownies a couple of minutes shorter than what is on the directions, especially the muffins. The first time I cooked the muffins according to the directions they came out coarse and dry. I usually just cook half a recipe for the muffins and the complete box for the brownies and freeze them. I tried to freeze the muffins once and when they thawed, they were not as good. The brownies are fine to freeze and thaw.

I've had a package of these sitting up in the cupboard for six months, I guess I should probably try them. I got completely scared when I tried the Keto Brownie mix, OMG was it disgusting, like baked dirt!

Using your basic cocoa based fudgey brownie recipe you can come out with something very tasty, very low-carb, and not have to use any forbidden ingredients.

Pure ground cocoa, whey protein isolate, butter, eggs, some black walnuts, stevia/sweet-n-low/Acuselfame-K/Splenda in whichver mix you like best, and you have some darn good brownies that won't dissapoint.
