  • Lo Carb Gifts?

Hey I found this site for low carb gift baskets. They do contain alot of frankenfoods, but still a nice option for office gift or thinking of you type gift for the low carber...

Look at the prices on those things! OUCH! You could easily make one up yourself probably a lot cheaper....or how about a cheese and sausage basket from some place like Hickory Farms if you need a low carb gift?

True but much of the hickory farms stuff has sugar and is processed which was something I found disheartening when I looked at it for a snack. You have to factor in how much this stuff cost individually and then the cost isn't so bad. I made a basket for a little boy the other week and by the time I was done it was like 20 some odd dollars just for the little trinkets. Plus basket/wrap cost. Not to mention the 11 it cost to ship. It would have been less aggravation to just have it sent like this for me. I don't know if I'll ever use this place but thought it might be an option for some.

Good points. I make gift baskets at Xmas time but I never have to mail them. I usually go to this real nice little import store we have nearby and pick out cheeses, salami's, teas and candies, candles, coffees, whatever looks suitable for the person I'm making it for. Sometimes I find nice bath bubbles and stuff at the Dollar store if I want to go that route, baskets are pretty cheap at the local craft store, sometimes I spray paint them and put a big ribbon on them too. But you're right for the convenience of having someone else do all that and ship it too I guess they're not that expensive.

I did get a certain satisfaction of making it myself though. The finished product turned out so nice and I got to say I did this all by myself. Mind adding me to your Xmas list LOL?
