  • Do You Remember...

back in the height of Frankenfoods, in the Atkins catalogue they sold these little packets of "cheese chips" that were almost like soy crisps but made out of cheese. They came in different flavours (my favourite was pizza) and had little cows on the packages. I can't remember the name for the life of me.

Does anyone remember these? Does that company still make them? I haven't seen them anywhere and for whatever reason got a craving for them the other day.

Just the Cheese. They used to sell them at my Safeway, but they don't anymore. I always found them too salty for my tastebuds. They also had "funny" labelling because 1 little bag had 2 or 4 servings.

I remember those. They were kind of like styrofoam, but cheese flavored little discs. What ever happened to those things?

Oh man, I really liked them, but some flavours are better than others (jalepeno gross, pizza delish). There are two ounces in each bag, but I think they have repackaged them differently. I found another official site from MOG's link, because I'd prefer to buy them by the case instead of individually (and I think it might be cheaper, I'd have to work it out).

Here's the link for the curious: http://www.specialcheese.com/orders.htm I think I'll order some next weekend after next payday. The site is pretty extensive in terms of the cheese it carries.

Actually they work out to $2.70 a bag from the site you posted. I think they were $2.49 on the one I sent you weren't they? Plus their shipping is only $4.95 too, you gotta work it all out! I used to get them at Wholefoods, I have to stop there today I'm curious now to see if they still carry them. Do you have a wholefoods in your area?

Well, shoot! I was hoping I could talk them into still doing the "buy one case get one free" deal even though the offer had expired on 4/3. They are building a WholeFoods down the road from me, but it's not ready yet. There's one about 20 mins away that might be worth the drive, so let me know what you find!

You know that new packaging they have looks good! The old packaging didn't keep them fresh tasting very long! And I forgot to look at WholeFoods yesterday. Darn!
