what is considered low carb spagetti sauce in grocery stores? i have looked at labels..have seen 9 grams carb.isnt that high? what do long time atkins people eat for spagetti sauce?

have you tried passata, its condensed tomatoes combined to make a sauce, its bland but contains relatively fewer carbs. its runny so you don't need much, can be flavoured w ith herbs and garlic cloves.
ragu also do a low carb pasta sauce at around 5 carbs per 100g, or try chopped tinned tomatoes and add your own herbs and garlic.
the trick is to have a small portion so have it for lunch instead of dinner and have it with lots of meat such as minced beef.
dolmio do a great mushroom microwaveable sauce that only contains 3.8 carbs per 100g. great for pouring over meat and veg, if your like me you miss the sauces with meals. so if anyone has any great tips for sauces it would be great to know.
